The Don Bosco Society is presently working in 135 countries across the world. In keeping with the vision of our founder Don Bosco, we focus on educating young people, particularly those from poor or disadvantaged backgrounds, so that they may be able to create a bright and happy future for themselves. Skill training is at the very heart of the educational services that we offer youngsters, since having a strong skill set is a sure way of finding productive employment and building a significant career.
Don Bosco, the renowned educator-saint of the nineteenth century, insisted that in the field of technical education we should always be “in the vanguard of progress”. Living as he was at the time of the industrial revolution, he was keenly aware that technology would constantly keep evolving, and hence, youngsters would need to be trained in the latest skills so as to find good employment.
It is this advice of Don Bosco that has led us to regularly update our institutions, and to ensure that we are offering training in state-of-the-art technology and skills.
It is precisely in this context of being “in the vanguard of progress”, that we have launched the Don Bosco E-Mobility Centres of Excellence. We know that electrical vehicles will drive the future of transportation. Hence, training young people in electric vehicle technology is of critical importance. We are happy to state that all our E-Mobility training centres are offering courses in the very latest technology available in this filed, and equipping our students with a complete skill set to work efficiently in the electrical vehicle domain.
We are deeply grateful to all our partners, German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and especially Don Bosco Mondo, Germany, for supporting us in this venture. Together, let us ensure a happy future for our poor youngsters!
